Add any external registry URL (Amazon Wishlist, Honeyfund, YourStory.in, or any custom URL) in the Content tab. It appears as a beautiful CTA card on the Event Story Page. Custom button label supported; leave URL blank to hide.

### Gift Wish List (v122)
Add specific items directly to the Gift Registry — item name, optional note (e.g. "Blue colour preferred"), and optional product link (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.). Items appear as elegant cards on the Story Page. The section renders when either a registry URL is set or wish list items exist. Stored as a JSON array in `gift_items` column.

### Save the Date Mini-Page
Every invitation includes a /w/[slug]/save page — a single-screen mini-page showing couple names, event date, venue, and a live countdown. One-tap "Add to Calendar" button downloads an ICS file compatible with Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, and Samsung Calendar. Toggle on/off from Settings tab.

### Live Day-of Updates
Post a short message (up to 280 characters) from the admin panel. It appears as a pulsing "LIVE UPDATE" banner on the Story Page with a relative timestamp ("just now", "5 minutes ago"). Perfect for real-time announcements like "Ceremony starting in 10 minutes."

### Invite QR Code
Auto-generated QR code linking to the invitation, downloadable as a branded PNG. Print on physical cards, banners, table cards, or backdrops.

### Guest Arrival Check-In

Paste a Cloudinary MP4 URL to add a cinematic autoplay-muted video loop behind the Story Page hero section. 55% opacity overlay keeps text readable. Falls back to solid gradient if no URL. Available on Premium Plus and Ultimate plans.

Download your wedding page and love story page as fully self-contained HTML files — complete with eInvit branding, watermark, and footer CTA. Perfect for offline sharing or archiving.

## v134 — Plan-at-Signup: One-Screen Registration
See all plans and pricing before you register. Pick your plan, apply a coupon, and pay — all on a single screen with a side-by-side feature comparison toggle. No blind sign-up, no multi-step wizard. Free-plan selection is explicit ("Create Free Account →") with a confirmation line. Payment retry works without re-registration.

## v135 — Unified Plan & Page Expiry
Before v135, users saw two different expiry dates: one for their plan subscription, one for their invitation page. From v135, there is exactly one expiry date — the day of purchase plus the plan's duration. When the plan expires, the page expires. Same date, no confusion. The Account page and Dashboard both reflect this with a single "Plan & page both expire" label.

## v136 — API Hardening & Production Security
Comprehensive production hardening: global 2 MB JSON body size guard, slug length guard (120 chars max), email length guard (254 chars per RFC 5321), bulk import cap (2,000 guests per request), media reorder cap (500 items), video thumbnail generation via Cloudinary poster-frame, walk-in guest name sanitisation, guestbook error specificity improvements, coupon code sanitisation, and cron crash guard. ## v139–v150 — Guest Management Hub (formerly "Guests/Responses")
All guest communication and event-day operations live in one unified admin page — **Guest Management** in the left nav (renamed from "Guests/Responses" in v142). It has seven sub-tabs:
- **👥 Guest List** — Guest Response table with search/filter, CSV export; side-by-side WhatsApp and Email status columns per guest (✅ Sent \<date\> / Not sent / No phone / No email), each with its own labelled Send/Resend button (v143); channel-coverage summary strip and an invite-status filter to find who still needs a nudge on a specific channel
- **📲 WhatsApp Invites** — stats header (total / have phone / sent / pending) plus template-based bulk sending with {name}/{invite_url} placeholders

- **📖 Guestbook** — approve and moderate heartfelt messages guests leave on the invitation page; joined this hub in v150 (previously only reachable from the per-event editor)

A permanent Guest Response snapshot (Total / Attending / Declined / Maybe / Pending / Response Rate) stays visible above the tabs and is clickable to jump straight to the relevant tab. URL-driven state (`/responses?tab=guests&weddingId=...`) means dashboard shortcuts and quick-action links land on the exact right tab and event with zero extra clicks.

Hindu event labels use "English Name (RegionalName1 / RegionalName2)" format — e.g. "Naming Ceremony (Namakaranam / Naamkaran)" — so users from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra and other states immediately recognise their ceremony.

### Regional Language Detection
Admin name fields automatically adapt to the user's detected locale:
- **International users** (non-IST timezone): regional name field hidden — English only
- **Malayalam users** (IST + ml locale): "Name in Malayalam" with Malayalam placeholder
- **Other Indian states** (IST + non-ml locale): "Name in [Detected Language]" with the appropriate script
- Supported: Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, Odia, Assamese, Urdu. Fallback: Hindi
Detection uses browser timezone + navigator.languages — no API key, no network request.

### Corporate Template Deep-Link Fix
"Use This Template →" on the Templates page now passes URL params (?template=id&event=type&religion=val&corp=1) so corporate users land directly at Step 4 of the creation wizard with everything pre-filled — no more 4-click manual setup.

The AI Story Writer (available on every plan) now generates a different *kind* of narrative depending on the event type, not just wedding "Our Story" copy:

- **Couple mode** — weddings, nikah, walima, betrothal, engagement, anniversary and similar two-person occasions get the classic how-we-met / journey / closing-thought narrative, built from how-they-met, tone, and an optional detail.
- **About mode** — single-honouree occasions (baptism, first holy communion, confirmation, graduation, birthday, and all corp_* corporate events) get a narrative about the person or organisation, with a focus you choose (faith & blessing, personality & qualities, joy of the family, an achievement, this milestone, or — for corporate events — a dedicated professional/corporate focus).
- **Home mode** — housewarming events get a narrative about the home itself (a new beginning, years in the making, a home for the family, a blessing fulfilled).
- **Memorial mode** — memorial events get an entirely separate, respectful phrase bank rather than being forced through celebratory language.

Every generated draft fills in the actual occasion name (e.g. "this Baptism", "this Town Hall") instead of a generic placeholder, and users get three distinct drafts to choose from or edit. Corporate users see a corporate-specific subset of focus options. Runs entirely on-device from a curated local phrase bank — no external AI API call, no network round-trip, no per-use cost, and no user data leaves the browser.

## v169 — Extraordinary Features

eInvit v169 ("Extraordinary Features") added 8 major new capabilities:

### Livestream Embed
Add a YouTube, Facebook, Zoom, or custom stream link in the Content tab. It renders as a live video embed directly on the invitation Story Page, so guests who cannot attend in person can watch the ceremony as it happens — no separate app or link needed.

### Muhurtham-Aware Multi-Event Guest Response
Mark the auspicious time (muhurtham) for each individual ceremony in a multi-event wedding — engagement, mehendi, wedding, reception — and let guests respond function-by-function instead of once for the whole wedding. Hosts get a clear per-ceremony headcount.

### Add-to-Calendar & Automated Reminders
One-tap ICS calendar download for every event (Google, Apple, Outlook, Samsung Calendar), plus automated email reminders sent to guests who've responded 7 days and 1 day before each ceremony — no manual follow-up required.

### UPI Gift Money QR
Guests scan a QR code on the invitation page and pay the host directly via any UPI app (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.), using the host's own UPI handle. No payment gateway, no commission, no third party in the middle.

A private task checklist and vendor contact book inside the event editor, used by the host and family to stay organised on the wedding day itself.

## v200–v201 — Wedding Day Timeline, Wedding Party, Google Reviews & Demo Showcase Update

- **v200 — Wedding Day Timeline**: A detailed day-of schedule on the invitation's Story Page, available for every event type (not just weddings). Entries can optionally be grouped under a phase label ("Wedding Ceremony", "Reception", "After Party", or any custom text) — a wedding typically uses 2–3 phases, while a birthday or housewarming typically lists items with no phase at all.
- **v200 — Wedding Party section**: A dedicated entourage section — parents of the couple, best man, maid of honor, bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls, ring bearers — shown only when the invitation's event type is an actual wedding (not shown for Nikah, engagement-only, or any other event type).
- **v200 — Google review prompt**: A dismissible card on the host's Dashboard and a one-time screen right after free-plan registration, offering a rotating set of short example review snippets as a copy-and-personalize starting point. It does not submit anything automatically — the host still writes and posts their own review on Google.
- **v201 — Demo showcase brought up to date**: All 20 demo invitations now have a Wedding Day Timeline, and the 8 that are actual weddings also have a full Wedding Party section, so both v200 features are demoable across the homepage showcase.

## v189 — Ultimate Plan Is Now 2 Years, Not Lifetime

- **v189 — Ultimate plan expiry change**: The Ultimate plan (₹1,999) previously never expired. As of v189 it expires 730 days (2 years) after purchase — the same term as Premium+. Ultimate remains the top tier through its higher limits (8 events, 2,000 guests, custom domain, AI highlight reel), not through lifetime access. Existing Ultimate subscribers were migrated onto a 2-year expiry counted from their original purchase date.

## v185–v188 — Video Invitation, Bulk Email Guardrail & Guest Management Reliability

- **v185 — Video Invitation**: Host records or uploads a personal 10-second video message — it plays directly on the invitation page, above the fold, right after the countdown. No editing software needed. On by default for every plan tier (not gated), independent of the existing gallery/background video feature. Uploading a new clip replaces the old one.
- **v186 — Video Invitation admin toggle**: Exposed the `invitation_video_enabled` flag in the Admin Plan Config UI so it can be turned on/off per plan without a code deploy (the flag itself shipped in v185 but had no toggle until v186).
- **v187–v188 — Bulk Email one-time-use guardrail**: MSG91 bulk email send is limited to one use per event, to prevent accidental duplicate mass-sends. The locked state (🔒 Bulk Email (Used), with an explanatory tooltip) now shows consistently in both the event editor's Guests tab and the main Guest Management → Guest List / Email Invites sub-tabs.
- **v188 — "Last Active" accuracy fix**: The admin Users table's Last Active column now reflects real usage (`last_active_at`, updated on every authenticated request, throttled to once per 5 minutes) instead of only the original login timestamp.

## v172–v182 — Demo Showcase, Material Design Templates, Plan Toggles & Reliability

- **v172 — International demo showcase**: Added 2 international demo invitations — a Malayali-American Chicago wedding and a Dubai Gulf Malayali wedding — bringing the homepage demo tabs from 4 to 8 and the total demo invitation count to 17.
- **v178 — Material Design template pack**: 20 new templates (4 each for Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Corporate, Universal) in a bold, flat Material color-system style, distinct from the existing traditional/floral/minimalist catalogue.
- **v180 — Per-plan feature toggles**: Individual plan features (WhatsApp, analytics, video gallery, custom domain, etc.) became admin-configurable without a code deploy.
- **v182 — Plan duration shown in years**: The pricing section now shows page lifetime in plain terms — "1 year," "1.5 years," "2 years" — instead of a raw day count.
- **v182 — Duplicate check-in fix**: Guest arrival check-in is now safe under concurrent front-desk devices — multiple volunteers scanning guests at once on a busy wedding day can no longer produce duplicate arrival records for the same guest.
- **v182 — Reminder reliability at scale**: The automated T-7/T-1 email reminder job now processes guests in concurrent batches with a time budget and a self-healing date window, so it stays reliable as the platform's wedding and guest volume grows.
